HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The 2nd-seeded Forester men's tennis team is headed to the finals of the Crossroads League tournament compliments of a 4-2 semifinals win over 3rd-seeded Marian Thursday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts.

After winning the doubles point, HU went to work in singles action with Illia Turaba, at the #5 spot, the first for Poncio's crew to nab a second point. Mateo Ameller was the next Forester to claim a win at #2 singles necessitating just one more win. That win came at court 4 where Valentin Mussi outlasted Dmitrii Voshchenkov sending he and his teammates into celebration mode.

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Huntington men's soccer team (7-2) wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 7-0 thrashing of Manchester Wednesday afternoon at King Stadium. With today's win, the Foresters have strung together four straight Ws in convincing fashion by outscoring their opponents 12-1.

Against the Spartans, HU took control of the contest within the first five minutes and never looked back, scoring five times in the first half before finding back netting twice more in the final 15 minutes of play.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Huntington volleyball team (6-10) kept things close all three sets in a 3-0 loss (25-20, 27-25, 25-22) to #RV Mount Vernon Wednesday evening at Ariel Arena.

The two squads are tied for fifth in the Crossroads League standings with a 2-3 league record.

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The USTFCCCA has announced that sophomore Shelby Christman has been named the M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week at the NAIA level based on her performance at the GRCC Raider Invitational.

Christmas obliterated the competition Saturday on Calvin University's course where she clocked in at 18:05. Among the field of 200 runners, she finished over 30 seconds of the second place finisher to be deemed the individual champion of the women's 5K.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Forester men's golf team fired an eight-over-par 292 at the Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Trine University to finish second out of 13 teams. It's the program's highest finish since the spring of 2017 when HU finished second at their own invitational.

The one-day event, held at Zollner Golf Course, saw Mitchell Wilson shoot par (71) to finish 3rd out of 82 competitors. Peyton Richmond was one stroke back at 72 to finish 5th. Quin Edwards carded a 74 for 8th place while Colby Martin (13th) and Trevor Simon (20th) turned in a 75 and 76 respectively.

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The 2nd-seeded Huntington men's tennis team is moving on to the semis of the Crossroads League tournament by cruising to a 7-0 win over 7th -seeded Bethel on Tuesday at Klopfenstein Courts. The win is HU's 16th consecutive over the Pilots with the last six matches proving a shutout.

The Foresters, 9-1 on the season, will host 3rd-seeded Marian on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The 6th-seeded Forester women's tennis team was knocked out of the Crossroads League tournament Tuesday morning, 5-2, by 3rd-seeded Bethel at Ward Baker Park. With this loss, HU drops to 4-7. Next up for Ferguson and crew is the annual ITA Regionals at IWU from September 29-October 1.
